    Making the PW50 Better.

    By TW | April 25, 2008

I have trained two young beginners on PW50’s. Both riders struggled with the soft power delivery of the stock motor. I have found one modification that is inexpensive, easy to install, and makes the bike significantly easier to ride. New clutch springs. Stiffer clutch springs for the automatic clutch allows the motor to rev slightly higher before the clutch engages building more power and providing a smooth takeoff.

I have installed these springs from Cannon RaceCraft. The installation took about 30 minutes. My little guy immediately noticed a huge difference in ride-ability especially at take off or partial throttle. Do your kid a favor. Buy the springs. You’ll be glad you did.
